Nearest airport - 45 minutes across the water from the port of Naples, so about 1 hour 15 minutes from the airport. J.K. Place Capri can organise a private boat transfer but there are plenty of hydrofoils.

Number of rooms - 22

I can honestly say that once you’ve arrived at J.K. Place Capri, you’ll never want to leave. This unique luxury boutique hotel in Capri is a short shuttle ride from Capri marina and has beautiful views across the blue sea to Vesuvius.

Like all other J.K. Place hotels you’ll feel very much at home at this exceptional hotel where the the art of hospitality and attention to detail will cocoon you throughout your stay.

Rooms

J.K.Place Capri is small and perfectly formed with just 22 rooms and suites, and yet there’s still plenty of choice from the J.K. Classic to the Penthouse Suite. The large beds adorned with exquisite and bespoke bedlinen are difficult to leave in the morning, but leave you must to admire the view and take a cappuccino on the terrace. No, you’re not dreaming, this is real.

J.K. Place Capri has won award, after award, not only for its beauty, but for its service and now from June 2020 there’s a new GM at the helm, Maria Strati, a passionate traveller who, when travelling herself makes an effort to “live like a local”. Her love for traveling started at a young age, when she began discovering destinations in and out of Greece. She is adamant that “I want to experience every destination like a local, to discover its secrets and to get acquainted with it in the company of its inhabitants.“ A fantastic addition to the exceptional team of JK Place GMs who always go above and beyond.

Food

JKitchen is charming and atmospheric restaurant serving traditional Mediterranean cuisine. Sit out on the large panoramic terrace, for breakfast and all day-dining in a relaxing atmosphere and soak up the spectacular views. Anything and everything is possible here. Your favourite cocktail? No problem. A simple plate of pasta for your children? Of course! At the end of a tiring day either on a boat exploring the grottos or shopping in Capri, there’s nothing better than ‘coming home’ to J.K. and enjoying a cool glass of something on the terrace.

Things to do

The pool is large and the pool deck looks across the sea. A hop and a skip from the pool and you’ll find yourself at the spa, and, if you have the energy, the gym! After a day spent ‘at home’ relaxing or if you’ve been out on the sea all day, you should hop on the hotel shuttle and head into Capri. I love going early evening to live like a local and join in the Italian tradition of the passegiata (evening stroll) when families take to the streets dressed up in style to meet up, socialise and enjoy an aperitivo or gelato. In the evening the town comes alive with gesticulating Italians and their chatter along the softly-lit streets. The dolce vita reigns in Capri.

J.K. Spa

A luxurious oasis the spa at J.K. Place Capri is where you can leave the world (your husband and your children!) behind and submit to complete relaxation. Unwind in the steam room or pamper yourself with beauty therapies using ancient traditions and methods developed over centuries.

Style - Elegant and sophisticated

Why stay here? The best luxury boutique hotel on Capri. I’ve stayed twice and will certainly be going back again.

Rates at J.K. Place Capri start from £729 per night, book here.
