If you’ve ever daydreamed about having your own ultra-stylish Roman apartment (with hotel-level service and zero stress), then let me introduce you to J.K. Place Roma—a boutique hotel that’s basically the fashion set’s secret address in the Eternal City.

Tucked just off Via Condotti and a stilettos’ toss from the Spanish Steps, J.K. Place Roma is where old-world charm meets polished modern elegance without a whiff of stuffiness. Think 17th-century palazzo bones, reimagined by Michele Bönan with swanky rosewood furniture, buttery soft linens, and marble bathrooms that make you want to take three baths a day just because you can.

It only has 27 rooms and suites, so expect a vibe that’s more “private residence” than “revolving door hotel.” That means service that remembers your name, restocks your minibar with your favourites, and can probably magic up a Vespa faster than you can say gelato.

At the helm of this impeccably run ship is Maria Strati, the hotel’s General Manager. Maria is a hospitality powerhouse with a calm, quietly confident manner and an eye for detail that would make Marie Kondo weep with joy. She joined the JK family in Capri before bringing her magic touch to Rome, and she’s also leading the charge on the brand’s next Roman chapter: Casa J.K. Place Roma, set to open in 2026 on Via dei Prefetti. More space, same soul. Stay tuned.

Now, let’s talk food (because when in Rome…). The hotel’s JKCafé is headed up by Executive Chef Antonio Martucci, who cooks the kind of Italian food you’ll remember long after you’ve lost the tan. Expect light, elegant classics—think handmade gnocchi, seasonal vegetables, properly al dente everything—in a setting that’s part art gallery, part chic lounge, part “I could totally live here.”

And the best bit? You can explore Rome entirely on foot from here. The Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese—they’re all a short, espresso-fuelled stroll away. Then you float back to your room, collapse onto your cloud of a bed, and pretend for just a moment that this is your Roman life now.

So if you're after a hotel that nails effortless elegance without trying too hard, that makes you feel personally seen rather than processed, and that might just ruin you for all other hotels—J.K. Place Roma is it. Bellissima.

Rooms and Suites

The 27 rooms and suites break down into 11 room types at J.K. Place Rome ranging from the J.K. Classic Balcony (20 sqm) through to the J.K. Master Balcony (50 sqm). The main difference of course being the space of the bedroom and bathroom. All of the rooms have massive beds with the J.K. Place bespoke bedlinen as well as Carrera marble bathrooms. The larger the room, the larger the bathroom and some feature double basins, large walk-in showers as well as a bath.
