Moroseta Villas, Puglia, Italy

Villa La Casetta, Puglia

Sometimes you just want to be with your friends and family when on holiday, not mixing with strangers, worrying about what other people think or restricted by time limits on breakfast. This is where private villas with the services of a boutique hotel come in, this time in Puglia, the heel of Italy.

Moroseta Villas is a new collection of luxury private villas in Puglia inspired by the stunning Masseria Moroseta, a modern country house home to gorgeous white, simple, yet achingly chic boutique hotel rooms. Pared-down luxury meets barefoot chic just outside Ostuni, Puglia. The idea of the villas was born out of the need for the same exquisite style and services of Masseria Moroseta in the form of a private villa. Perfect for friends and family looking for some independence but with the service of a boutique hotel.

Moroseta Villas have 4 stunning, renovated villas/houses to choose from, each one with their own private pool, sleeping between 4-8 people. Each offers the perfect alternative to a boutique hotel in Puglia whether you’re travelling as a couple or with friends and family.

Villa Castelluccio

Sleeps up to 6 people

Villa Castelluccio is a beautifully restored air-conditioned villa surrounded by acres of olive groves in the heart of Puglia. Renovated by Studio Andrew Trotter from an ancient farmhouse this villa now has fresh contemporary interiors with many of the original features still intact. Whitewashed, thick stone walls keep the villa cool even during the hottest months, resulting in an atmosphere of calm and comfort.

There are 2 double bedrooms both with king-size beds and en-suite showers and both have doors leading into the gardens. The fully-equipped kitchen is light, airy and open-plan with a sitting area and the larger living room has a working fireplace, an ideal place to cosy up on the cooler evenings. The large covered terrace has an outdoor kitchen with dining area and a pretty pergola for al fresco down time. A few steps through the ancient olive trees is the large swimming pool, flanked by fragrant lavender on one side and sun loungers on the other. The third en-suite bedroom is in the large studio just a hop and a skip from the main house and it has its own sun terrace.

Full laundry service, Nespresso machine, garden maintenance, parking, pool cleaning, free WiFi and general housekeeping is all included.

Villa Cardo

Sleeps up to 8

Nearest airport - 15 minutes from Brindisi airport and 1 hour from Bari airport

Designed by Studio Andrew Trotter, who also designed boutique hotel Masseria Moroseta, Villa Cardo is a beautiful private villa that sleeps up to 4 people, perfect for a family of four or two couples.

As with all of the Moroseta Villas, Villa Cardo has been sympathetically built and renovated using local natural materials and traditional Pugliese building methods ensuring the villa is cool, bright and airy in the summer and warm and cosy in the winter. Torre Guaceto Natural Reserve is the closest beach which is just 5 miles away and the white city of Ostuni is only 15 minutes by car.

Head to the roof terrace and admire the far-reaching views across the olive and almond trees to the sea, a beautiful spot to watch the sunset.

Villa Cardo is a great alternative to a boutique hotel in Puglia if you’re travelling with friends and family as it sleeps up to 8 people across 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The Master Room has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower and the other main bedroom has it’s own terrace with outdoor bath and outdoor shower in the private garden.

The other 2 bedrooms have a double bed and two single beds which can also be used as a small living area and share a bathroom. However there’s also another bedroom in the lamia (country house) which sleeps 2 people and this bedroom has a large bathroom of its own.

In addition to a fully-equipped kitchen there’s a large dining room and sitting room and by the pool there’s an outdoor kitchen with wood-fired oven and BBQ. During the summer months this is where you’ll spend most of your time as there’s a dining terrace, sofa and sun beds.

Tenuta Masseriola

Sleeps up to 8 people

Tenuta Masseriola enjoys an exclusive setting just a few miles from the village of Carovigno, and just 15 minutes from the white city of Ostuni. Surrounded by ancient olive groves this Pugliese hybrid, part trullo part lamia has 4 light and airy en-suite bedrooms. Painstakingly restored and re-modernised the inside spaces include a comfortable living room, fully-equipped modern kitchen and spacious dining room.

La dolce vita can be enjoyed outside by the pool and its contemporary setting with views across the ancient olive groves behind which the sun gently sets.

Villa La Casetta

Sleeps up to 4 people

This former lamia is nestled amidst almond and olive trees, pear and fig trees. This cute little house sleeps up to 4 people and is even perfect just for a couple. I would even go as far as saying it’s a wonderful escape on your own. Slow living reign at Villa La Casetta where time loses its pace and the the rhythm of nature takes over.
